Development Coordinator

We currently have an opportunity for a Development Coordinator to join the team to support the Design, Construction and Sales team based in our Heatherton Office.

This role will be reporting to the Managing Director on a full time basis.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding of funding models, development feasibility spreadsheets eg. EstateMaster, modelling, and best case/worst case scenarios for profit margin
  • Bank application for funding, mortgage and mezzanine
  • Working with the construction project managers for project delivery, practical completion/defects management
  • Understanding of the Security of Payments Act and construction contract payment methods
  • Answering construction RFI’s, manage and work within the consultant project team for project delivery, practical completion/defects management
  • PCG meetings and reporting to financial stakeholders
  • Coordinating the marketing processes for pre-sales, off-the-plan sales management and customer service
  • Review and management of the Contract of Sale Special Conditions with a good understanding of Sale of Land Act
  • Managing settlement and handover process to deliver high-standard customer service to the end-users
  • Early-stage development project identification, analysis and due diligence

Who you are:  

  • Degree qualified in Property Development, Construction Management, Town Planning or related disciplines
  • Strong project planning, analytical and financial skills
  • 2 to 4 years of development management experience or client-side project management with a focus on multi-level residential developments
  • Ability to work independently and with autonomy across concurrent 2-3 projects (2-3)

Desired attributes:

  • Active interest in property is highly regarded
  • Customer service experience and ability to deal with purchaser queries throughout the construction phase
  • Settlement and handover knowledge of the property sector
  • Knowledge of the construction process with high attention to detail

Contracts Administrator

The Opportunity

Aultun Group has an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Contracts Administrator to join the team based in our Heatherton Office. With an annual turnover in excess of $30M and strong forecast growth, we are seeking an experienced Contracts Administrator who has experience in Multi-Level Residential Development and a practical knowledge of the local Melbourne apartment development market.

About You

To be successful in this role you will ideally possess the following skills:

  • Minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a Contracts Administrator
  • Experience in residential construction
  • Tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering or a related degree with equivalent knowledge
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Computer proficiency in CHEOPS desirable, Microsoft Suite, Procore and Buildsoft
  • Team player
  • Self-motivated and ambitious

Site Manager

Aultun Group currently has an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Site Manager to join the team.

Key Responsibilities/Attributes 

  • Previous experience as a Site Manager with a recognized Commercial Construction Builder
  • Solid construction experience is essential including experience leading a team and managing multi-level projects in the inner-city environment above $20 million
  • Solid ability to manage and motivate trades/subcontractors to obtain programme requirements
  • Previous experience in apartment / hotel / retail
  • Ability to hold and run Subcontractor meetings as needed
  • An excellent understanding of QA standards and requirements in order to hold subcontractors to account during the build
  • Extensive OH&S experience (OHS Cert 4 beneficial)

About You

  • Strong portfolio of projects from $10-40 million
  • 8+ years’ on-site experience in the commercial building industry
  • A self-starter, someone who is motivated to go and deliver without being micromanaged
  • Able to write and execute a short range programme (2-4 week)
  • Able to review and resolve design issue with consultants
  • Knowledgeable on BCA requirements
  • Ensuring high safety standards on site and good understanding of OHS Act
  • Good people and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work within a team to achieve all required project outcomes
